To expand and add to the diversity of our card line, we review
submissions looking for unique art styles that complement our
specific marketing objectives. We are interested in seeing upbeat
material, innovative styles, trendy themes, sophisticated art,
well-executed traditional designs, and occasion-oriented designs.
Artists and Photographers may submit
work anytime throughout the year for our product development team to
review. Please be aware that Global Graphics & Gifts™ is not
responsible for loss or damage of unsolicited materials in the mail.
Please do not send finished,
irreplaceable original art as an unsolicited submission.
We prefer art to be in the form of color copies or images on CD and
request that each piece of art is labeled with the artist's name and
a title or number. Please indicate if the work is available for
greeting card publication or sent as an example and if we may keep
the submission for our files. Samples will not be returned without a
SASE. If unsolicited artwork matches our needs, our product
development staff will call to establish a relationship and
negotiate terms.
Artwork Specifications
We have one standard card size and several formats with multiple
panels and folds. We are usually able to adapt existing artwork to
our needs, and in commissioning a design, we always specify the
format the design should fit proportionally. We generally prefer
designs in a vertical format, although we do make exceptions when
the design benefits from a horizontal format. We prefer designs to
be done to actual size (5 1/8" x 7 1/2") whenever possible or at
150% of the actual size (7 11/16" x 11 1/8").
Digital Media
We accept digitally produced final art on CD. Digital artists are
responsible for quality standards and for supplying a reasonably
accurate, high-quality proof of the art. We do not purchase digital
art that does not meet industry standards for resolution, printable
color and professional file construction.
