"The Scene: Cirque du Soleil's opening night on Thursday. The otherworldly performance under the big top at the Santa Monica Pier was followed by a party at the Bergamot Station, a complex of galleries housed in old warehouse space that, by tricks of the lighting and carnival élan, was transformed into a moody fantasia for a celebration that didn't wind down until 1 a.m."

"Chow: Wave upon wave of fresh-shucked shellfish cascaded down a long oyster bar. Trays of sushi, barbecued ribs, quesadillas and other assorted delectables were prepared by FOOD INC (It's a thinking caterer who makes sure the line to the ladies room gets served.)"

This is to tell you how much everybody enjoyed the Santa Monica Opening night party held at the Bergamot Station after the performance. The idea of drinking vodka shooter and eating cold oysters while watching the stars worked beautifully. You did an incredible job in transforming Bergamot Station! Cirque du Soleil has had the pleasure of working with Claudia Taylor and FOOD INC for over five years. Claudia was responsible for the concept, design, planning, decor, catering and entertainment for events held to celebrate the opening of our North American touring productions Saltimbanco (992), Algeria (1994), and Quidam (1996).

Due to past successes with the above projects, we recently hired FOOD INC for the opening of "O" at Bellagio in Las Vegas (1998). This event was to be one unlike no other!

Claudia, in collaboration with her imaginative team, transformed a Las Vegas ice rink into a Polar Playground...a veritable paradise of pleasure and decadence. Claudia delivered beyond our expectations - we received rave reviews from our guests, the media and owners of Cirque du Soleil.
